Mom was way excited by her first letter. Brian had labeled Day 1, Day 2 etc. so he wrote a paragraph each day and sent the letter at the end of the week. In the letter he reassured Mom a lot about his diet. He and the dietician there have been planning his meals, so he's eating well. He's been working out and ran a mile. Now he can get rid of that little pooch he developed over the summer. He said it is really cold outside but hot in the buildings, especially having to wear his suit all the time.
His companion (the guy he hangs out with all the time) is from Washington. He found out about the Church in 7th grade, but his parents were against it, so he had to wait until he was 18 to get baptised. His parents were very upset that he decided to go on a mission and aren't supporting him at all. Brian's helped give a couple people blessings and been learning a lot about the scriptures.
He said it was hard to fall asleep the 2nd night. Brian usually falls asleep listening to music through his headphones, but you can't do that in the MTC. He said he hasn't been home sick much becasue they are keeping him so busy and he's around other people so much, there isn't time to be alone and get sad.
Brian sent a slighty different address. He also will have a different email, but didn't send that yet. He will be in the MTC until January 25th. I'll let you know when we get another letter.
